SPRING DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS BEGIN!

It’s 2021 and though the Spring season of Discipleship Groups has arrived, the cold weather is still keeping us bundled up.

As we continue to love on our community while COVID-19 is present, we encourage you to meet in ways that your group members find comfortable. Breaking into smaller groups, utilizing masks, finding an outside space with heat, and meeting through Zoom are ways your group can begin this chilly season. Find what is safe for you–there is still no one-size-fits-all solution. We know that the Lord will continue to be at work in our midst.

Reach out to your Discipleship Director or Coach if you would like further help with these conversations and decisions!

And help us brainstorm! Share any great ideas on how your Group plans to meet creatively by clicking the link below and we'll pass it on to other Leaders!

LEADER ACTION STEPS

Here are a few of the housekeeping items you can do to help us as the new season of Groups begins:
  1. Head to Planning Center Groups and do a roster check on your Discipleship Group.
  2. Update your meeting location and schedule in the “Events” tab. This lets us know when to request attendance.
  3. Continue to reference the Groups Leader Manual, for any immediate questions, or email groups@midtownfellowship.org for more help.

A NOTE FROM JEREMY

Hey Midtown West Nashville group leaders!

As Matt mentioned in his video update last week, the Lord has placed you as a shepherd of our community to help lead our people in the reality of the gospel of Jesus' kingdom. Man, are we thankful for your partnership in this work! Each of you has incredible gifts along with a heart for people. The Lord is using all of that to bring healing and flourishing to people in our community. That being said, we also know that leadership also means giving yourself away in a lot of ways.

This month, I'd love to encourage you to think about what your soul might need in this season & how you might let Jesus care for that need. As our normal routines of gathering have been disrupted, it's important that we are intentionally caring for our souls and abide in the reality of the gospel. We'd love for you to consider leaning into the Thursday prayer gatherings this month. We'd love for you to invite people in your group to intentionally connect with one another during the week as we're not able to gather on Sundays.

Thank you for the way you're continuing to care for your groups & shepherd them towards Jesus.

Your fellow co-laborer,
Jeremy
