Clemente Newsletter

FMWM-Asia, together with Global Development, and Philippine General Conference (PGC) with its partner, Free Methodist Missions Philippines (FMMP), just completed the Mission Training Conference 2022. Thank you for all who prayed for and gave towards this event. The Lord is good!

Dr. Darrell Whiteman and I shared about prayer, incarnational theology, culture shock, worldview, and other relevant topics for the many Filipino cross cultural witnesses. Also, the organizing committee planned an overnight one-day retreat right after the conference. It was a great time of affirming God’s work in the world and around the Philippines.

Below are some pictures and highlights, including some testimonies, of the event.

Darrell shares about the theology of incarnation, with a special focus on Philippians 2:1-11 and lots of stories from around the world.

**Thank you SIR DAVID AND SIR DARRELL for those radical teachings—it's worth following and it is life changing. God bless. Thank you for that Anthropologist that has helped many missionaries and those with a missionary HEART. (Ephraim Macalde) **

**Sa tanan nga nag facilitate sa MTC 2022, sa mga supporters, sa mga prayer partners, speakers: Dc. David Clemente and Dc. Darrell Whiteman, thank you so much. (Translation: To all who facilitated MTC 2022, to all the supporters, to all the prayer partners, and speakers, Dr. David Clemente and Dr. Darrell Whiteman, thank you so much.)

We will go back to the mission field full of encouragements, so much blessed with learnings and with your love…. Again thank you and God bless you more. Looking forward to have more time of fellowship with you all again. Blessings. (Irene Rosal)**

Pastora Ammabelle, who is the FMMP Director, shares about the vision and plans for missions work for all PGC. God is working in the Philippines.

REVIEW: Prayer Requests For Next Month

Pray for David’s trip to Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand this next month of October. Pray for safe travel and meaningful meetings with pastors and partners.

Praise the Lord for David’s sisters who hosted his stay in the Philippines. In Butuan City, down south, Kathy (Dr. K. Gamutan) welcomed David into her home and family. In Manila, up north, Lyra (Dr. L. Chua) provided David with a room and good home cooked meals while resting in between trips. God is good. David is surrounded with family love here in Asia.

Pray for Sarah, Carmen, and Jacob attending to work and school back in the US.

This September marks five years since Sarah’s father, John, was diagnosed with lung cancer. Praise the Lord he remains in remission! We continue to thank God for His mercy and grace.

Participants were engaged in prayer and interacted with everyone during the sessions—especially the discussions on culture shock and para-messages. God answered your prayers.

“All the questions in my mind were all answered. Thank you for the messages.” Sandra testified in one of our group chats. Darrell’s presentations and stories were very engaging. “Surely God is with us,” God was there and we are grateful. (An excerpt from David’s blog post.)
