Los Angeles Dodgers Analytics Director Joins SACP as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Baseball Analytics
Each participating SACP Club is supported by a high school STEM teacher advisor, a STEM professor at a local university, and a Subject Matter Expert (SME) from a professional sports team. The SME has direct experience with data analytics within the context of professional sports.
SACP is pleased to announce that Michael Spetner, the Director of Business Analytics for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has joined SACP as a SME for Baseball Analytics. Mr. Spetner will be advising the Cardozo TransSTEM Academy Sports Analytics Club in Washington, D.C., as they develop an analytics-driven performance portfolio to advocate for Maury Wills’ induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Wills attended Cardozo Senior High School, was a seven-time MLB All-Star, and won three World Series Championships with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
