Update from the Principal
Welcome to our Spring newsletter where the focus is very much on reporting the wonderful things that have happened this term. Hopefully this will serve as an inspiration and as a distraction from other things on our minds.
The first bit of inspiring news is the that the Fairfield Fashion Fizz raised over £1260. I very much look forward to running the event that we held in November last year again, in November this year. Another event that we will now have to look forward to next year will be our Community Iftar. Sadly, we have had to postpone the event, but we can look forward to celebrating next year with even greater energy.
Term 4 also saw our participation in Fairtrade Fortnight, with in-school activities such as assemblies and workshops and well as the promotion of Fairtrade products… but the highlight of the term for me was Aladdin. The Hollywoodesque (or even Bollywoodesque) epic was a riot of colour, sound and dance with our largest ever cast and audience attendance figures. The students stole the show, of course, but were very well supported by the staff who give so much of their time and expertise to make it happen. I really can’t wait for us to be able to be back in school together to start planning for our next production.
I wish you and your family a happy and healthy Easter.
Mr Nick Lewis
