After a morning departure from the Essex area, we shall make our way to Aylsham to board the Bure Valley Railway for a nostalgic steam train ride through the picturesque Norfolk countryside on Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway. Your destination will be the riverside town of Wroxham at the heart of the Norfolk Broads.
The 9 mile journey runs through the pretty Bure Valley countryside following the meandering River Bure through meadowland and ancient pastures. Along the line, stops are made at the picturesque Broadland villages of Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall as you continue your journey to the bustling town of Wroxham. The journey between Aylsham & Wroxham takes 45 minutes. The coach will then take you to Wroxham Bridge where you will join your 2 hour Norfolk Broads cruise.
On board the cruise, you will enjoy a commentary on the outward journey and have the opportunity to take in the beauty of the Norfolk Broads National Park as you return to Wroxham Bridge.
