Dear Readers,

After a couple of weeks of traveling, I'm happy to be returning to Berlin just in time for several literary events. Tonight, Brooklyn's Ugly Duckling Presse is making an appearance in Berlin, and on Wednesday, Club Motte storytelling hour lives on with its monthly session at Another Country Bookstore. I've also marked April 12 on my calendar, as I'll be attending The Reader Berlin's "Kickstart Your Writing" seminar that day. Anyone care to join?

Have a great week, and please keep referring friends to
berlinreads.com!

Cheers & Prost,
Stephanie

Storytelling Hour at Another Country Bookstore

Club Motte, a Berlin spin-off of The Moth Storytelling Hour, is hosting its next gathering at Another Country Bookstore on Wednesday, March 26, at 8pm. The theme this month is "in the blink of an eye": surprises, accidents, phases of life passing by. If you have a story to tell, you can put your name in the fishbowl at the event. Otherwise, feel free to sit back and listen. More info here.

Readings by Robert Fitterman & Eugene Ostashevsky

The Brooklyn-based printing press, Ugly Duckling Presse, is sending two of its poets to read at the Kulturbrauerei on Monday, March 24, at 8pm. Poet Robert Fitterman is known for his explorations of conceptual writing, while Eugene Ostashevsky combines a wide variety of intellectual and pop influences in his work. It looks like the event will be in German, but with a fair amount of English involved. More info here.
