express News in Brief

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We hope Christmas was as stress free as possible.
If you are braving the New Year sales don't forget to post a token into our box in John Lewis in Kingston :) the boxes are in the main entrance lobby and in the main restaurant near toys. There is £3,000 to be shared between the three causes in proportion to the number of tokens received. If you are online sales shopping then don't forget to register with easyfundraising and select Express as your cause. Thank you!

Express Support Groups

We now run 5 different support groups as well as 1:1 support for EHCPs and DLAs all details are below. Our groups are on different days both daytime and evening and all run by volunteers please contact us for more information or simply turn up (only the Rose has to be via ticketing for capacity purposes). It helps to share experiences, and to know you are not on your own.

ARTS @ Express
Our Art therapy and SIBs groups are starting back next week if this is something you are interested in for the future please do get your referrals in soon. Places go fast! It's lovely to hear parents tell us how much their children look forward to them. Please see our flyer below for more details and apply via our website. This is just a small part of what the eventual hub could provide please support us and help that goal become a reality sooner.

We have an excellent dedicated small team of volunteers but we really do need support with fundraising to help cover our increasing costs. Please do consider fundraising for us, however big or small it all helps! Some ideas ... Coffee mornings, cake sales, quiz night in your local, good as new sale or pamper evening. Please also nominate us in your local supermarket schemes or look out for community funds we can apply for. We really need your help!

Please please could we ask as many of you as possible to sign up to easyfundraising. It doesn't cost you anything and you can raise money for Express when you shop online. See below for details.

Your comments are always welcome - please click here to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please continue to support us it really does make a difference. You can do your bit by spreading the word, attending events, offering your expertise, and fundraising. Please do get involved.

Thank you for all your support in 2015, attending events, voting, fundraising & spreading awareness. 2015 saw a lots of changes and expansion for Express and 2016 is set to be even bigger. Bring it on!

We are all volunteers and parents of young people with autism at Express. When we set up Express in 2012 it was just two of us. We now have a small team of volunteers who do a fantastic job supporting our work. We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to them, you are amazing.

Thank you also to John Williams our friend and Patron. You are just brilliant and we don't need to say anymore.
