Alright Monsters, here we go...

We know you have all been waiting patiently for information regarding our 2021 Monsters of Rock Cruise and we have an important and exciting announcement to make!

WE WILL BE ROCKIN' IN 2021!

We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation with Royal Caribbean and the CDC, doing countless hours of research and deliberation all while running through different scenarios on how things will run onboard. We want to assure you that the safety of guests, artists, and crew is our #1 priority.

After our discussions with Royal Caribbean, we have concluded that we will not be able to safely deliver the MORC experience that our guests are accustomed to aboard a ship until 2022.

BUT...

ARE WE REALLY GOING TO GO MORE THAN AN ENTIRE YEAR WITHOUT KICK-ASS CONCERTS, SEEING OUR MORC ALUMNI AND ENJOYING ANOTHER LEGENDARY MOR EXPERIENCE?

NOPE! We have had quite enough bad news for 2020...the show WILL go on! MORC Cruisers, put your sea legs away for 2021 - WE ARE TAKING THE PARTY TO  LAND!

WELCOME TO MONSTER BEACH!
Get ready MORC Fans because from May 26 - 31, 2021, we are officially taking over not one, but TWO All-Inclusive Resorts in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!

Welcome to Breathless and Now Onyx, Punta Cana. These two all-inclusive (yes...that means unlimited booze) resorts are situated in the Uvero Alto region of Punta Cana and offer chic, contemporary suites, all-inclusive dining and drinks, free wi-fi, breathtaking beaches and more! Even better, both resorts share the same beachfront location and MOR guests are welcome throughout the properties, including all restaurants, bars, pools, and amenities.

Junior Suite - Swim Up
Junior Suite - Ocean Front

Take a minute to picture it: Beach stage, LIVE music, open air, MORC friends, toes in the sand...COMPLIMENTARY beverage of choice in hand...can you feel it? We can!

And for us here at MORC Headquarters, knowing we will see our MORC Family again in 2021 ... is the BEST news we have had in five months!

Of course, we know in the midst of all the excitement, there will be a sea of questions (see what we did there?). Let's take a minute and address some questions you may have.

HOW DID YOU COME TO THIS DECISION AND WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG?

During the last few months, all of us across the world have had daily ups and downs following the impact of COVID-19. We love being on the open seas and value the partnership we have built with Royal Caribbean.

In fact, it is through this partnership that we were able to agree that hosting a production and crowd of this magnitude onboard a ship is not something either party is willing to move forward with in 2021. The safety of our guests is our #1 priority and we understand that it will take some time to safely cruise again. Given the overall efforts of the CDC, Royal Caribbean, drug therapies, as well as technological advances, we are hopeful we will cruise again in 2022.

But...the idea of no Monsters in 2021? That just doesn't seem right. This led us to explore additional options that would allow us to have the MOR Experience we all love, but with enough space and open venue options to give our guests peace of mind. It wasn't easy, but after extensive negotiations with land options, we believe the Breathless and Now Onyx resorts in Punta Cana are just the right fit for our Monsters guests!
WHEN WILL ARTISTS BE ANNOUNCED?

Alice Cooper and our All-Star lineup look forward to seeing you all next May for Operation Monster Beach! With our 2021 plan now set, we are in the process of confirming the full lineup. We are currently moving artists to the new location and dates…we will announce our lineup as soon as all contracts are complete.

When finalized, we will reveal the final artist roster to our mailing list and on our Facebook Page, similar to our previous artist announcements. As always, we will continue to feature a stellar lineup as we have always provided in the past.
HOW WILL MY CABIN BE REASSIGNED TO ACCOMMODATIONS AT ONE OF THE RESORTS?

Within the next few weeks, our website will be live with accommodation categories and additional details about our new venue for 2021. In the meantime, we are working behind the scenes to select the most appropriate accommodation based on your current cabin category booked.

Over the weeks to come, our reservations team will be in touch with the main guest on your current reservation to discuss the plan for your accommodations at the resort. After you review this with your roommates, all guests will simply go in, confirm your new reservation and we will move you to the resort option that is right for you. Once you receive your confirmation, your reservation is secured.

Please keep in mind this will take some time to complete this process for all guests and we thank you in advance for your patience in this matter.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY RESERVATION IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND THE RESCHEDULED LAND EVENT FOR 2021?

We would appreciate it if you wait for our reservation team to contact you with your land-based options before you contact us.

However, if you are 100% sure you are unable to attend the rescheduled 2021 land event, please contact our reservations department via email at reservations@monstersofrockcruise.com to discuss further options.

IF I ORIGINALLY BOOKED AS A VIP GUEST, WILL I BE ABLE TO KEEP MY VIP STATUS?

Yes, you will be able to keep your VIP status of Silver or Gold for the land event. This VIP status from your original booking will be factored into our recommendation for your accommodations at the resort.

Due to the change in venue, the details of the VIP Program have not yet been finalized. Once this has been established, guests booked in VIP accommodations will be notified via email.
MY ROOMMATE CANNOT MAKE THE NEW DATES, CAN I MAKE A NAME CHANGE?

Yes! Due to the unprecedented situation and the reschedule, all room transfers and name changes will be complimentary through Friday, April 23, 2021 for all guests originally booked on the 2021 MORC Sailing.
WILL I BE ABLE TO GET TRAVEL INSURANCE?

We are not an insurance agent, therefore, we are not able to sell travel insurance to our guests. That being said, we always HIGHLY recommend contacting a few different travel insurance companies to discuss the policy options available, including a “cancel for any reason” policy.

Make sure to discuss the plan in detail to find out what is and what is not covered in your policy. As always, we cannot require guests to purchase travel insurance, however, we highly recommend that you do so.

If you previously purchased travel insurance for the 2021 sailing, please contact your insurance provider to revise and confirm your plan for the new travel dates.
I'M IN! DO I NEED A PASSPORT?

YES! All guests are required to carry a valid passport, with an expiration date no less than six (6) months from the return date of your trip.

If you have been putting this off, now is the time! We have ALWAYS advised a passport for the Monsters of Rock Cruise and you have plenty of time, so don't wait!

When booking your flights to and from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for Operation Monster Beach, we suggest that you consider that the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) is about 40 minutes away. Check-in will begin at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Check out for guests is at 12:00 pm (noon) on Monday, May 31, 2021. Remember, guests traveling internationally are encouraged to arrive at the airport for their return flight no later than 3 hours before the scheduled departure time. Plan accordingly.

There is no need to purchase your flights today as the impact of COVID-19 has shut down many flights to and from destinations throughout the world. We will keep you apprised as conditions continue to change and more air carriers begin scheduling flights.

In addition, all guests have the responsibility of knowing the required laws and documentation needed for their travel to and from their country of origin to the Dominican Republic. Do your research and be prepared...here are a few helpful links!

U.S. Citizens:  All Other Guests:
AND, OF COURSE, THE FINAL AND MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION....

WHEN WILL YOU SEND INFORMATION ON DRINK PACKAGES?

Yes, we do pay attention! We will NOT be selling a drink package for the 2021 land event because...IT IS ALL-INCLUSIVE FOOD AND DRINK AT BOTH RESORTS FOR ALL GUESTS (OF LEGAL AGE)!

That means complimentary food and beverages* (yes, that includes alcohol), PLUS free wi-fi, and non-motorized sports (snorkeling, kayaking, etc.) are included in your reservation pricing! That's right? No muss, no fuss in 2021!

*Specialty wines and cuisine upgrades are also availble for a nominal charge.
Without question, 2020 has been rough for everyone across the globe...we feel it too. We sincerely hope that this fresh new MOR option brings you joy and a newfound excitement. We are stoked and our artists are as well!

We understand that you will have additional questions, including travel restrictions, new payment dates, and much more. Please allow us the time required to put all of the details in place so that we will be able to address questions and concerns.

As always, we are committed to providing the ultimate Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Vacation Experience and another MOR journey you will never forget! That’s what MOR is all about and we will not disappoint.

In the meantime, here is your homework...explore both resorts and find your own personal paradise on the beach or by one of the many pools, bars, and restaurants.

All of your friends at the Monsters of Rock Cruise and now...Operation Monster Beach want to genuinely thank you for standing with us through this unprecedented time. We will support you every step of the way as we make the necessary adjustments to keep our family together, celebrating the music, culture, and memories of the generations that represent the Monsters of Rock! Thank you for staying in the fight with us so that we can continue this legacy for years to come!

Thank you,

Your Monsters of Rock Cruise Team
