We hope this email finds you well! We have a few key updates to share with you as we near the end of the current Research Administrators Mentoring Program (RAMP↑) cohort, and the start of the new cohort, which will begin in September 2016.
About the Program
The RAMP↑ matches mentors at the University of Michigan (with least five years of research administrative experience) with mentees who are relative newcomers to the field (with approximately 6 months to 2 years of research administration experience).
The time commitment for this program is a minimum of one-hour of in-person communication per month for a period of nine months, October through June.
Mentees are required to be solid performers with no current performance issues, and they should be goal-oriented and self-directed, with a desire to develop professionally.
Both mentors and mentees must secure approval from their supervisors in order to participate. Interested participants are required to fill out an online application (see links below).
Selected mentors and mentees will attend a program orientation meeting in September 2016.
How You Can Help
Please help promote the third cohort of RAMP↑ in your units. You can also help by identifying individuals whom you believe would add value as mentors and mentees.
We will announce the new program in a RAPid later today that you can share.
