Applications and information about our next Navigate: Fundamentals course are now available and are due July 18, 2016.

The Navigate: Fundamentals course will be made available again in fall 2016 for up to 30 U-M research administrators with zero to about two years of working experience. It will consist of eight full-day instructor-led sessions between September and December 2016, with capstone projects to demonstrate success. Supervisory approval and application acceptance is required. Interested parties must apply by July 18, 2016, at 5:00 p.m.

Attendance at each session is mandatory. Interested parties should save the dates. In situations of inclement weather or closures, alternate sessions will be announced.

Research administrators work with difficult business, compliance, and financial challenges, and often undertake them with little or no experience. Providing excellent training for new research administrators is integral to reducing faculty and administrative burden.
