2015 Distinguished University Innovator Award – Call for Nominations
Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to encourage you to nominate candidates for the 2015 Distinguished University Innovator Award. Established in 2007, this award is the University’s highest honor for faculty who have shown leadership in bringing new ideas to the marketplace. The Distinguished University Innovator Award not only allows us to honor the accomplishments of members of our community who have made a difference in this arena, but it also inspires others to follow in their footsteps.
Nominations are due on December 5, 2014 and the selection will be announced in February 2015.
Nominees can include a faculty member of the tenured, tenure track or research faculty track, or a team of up to three tenured, tenure track or research faculty track members, who have developed a transformational innovation, who have moved an innovation to market-readiness, or who have created new means to move innovations from the University into the private sector. Details on the award criteria, the nomination and selection processes, and previous winners can be found at http://research.umich.edu/umor/recognition-programs/innovator/.
Please forward this call for nominations to your colleagues as appropriate. Thank you for your help in recognizing and nurturing the spirit of innovation at U-M.
Sincerely,
S. Jack Hu
