Shakespeare with Dr David McInnis and Chris Wallace-Crabbe AM
University House will be hosting a dialogue between Dr David McInnis and Christopher Wallace-Crabbe AM, focussing on their involvement in Shakespeare events on stage, on screen and in scholarship.

Dr David McInnis, the Gerry Higgins Lecturer in Shakespeare Studies is one of the nation’s foremost Shakespeare experts, specialising in lost plays and theatre history.

Christopher Wallace-Crabbe AM was Harkness Fellow at Yale 1965-67, Professor of Australian Studies at Harvard 1987-8, and Visiting Professor at the University of Venice 1973 and 2005. His poetry has been published and read across the world.

New Paintings in the Garden Lounge
Ella Dunn's artwork is now being displayed in the Garden Lounge at Professors' Walk, University House. 
Easter - Guess the Eggs
There’s been strategy, counting and even the use of a calculator, all in an attempt to deduce the number of eggs in the jar. Winner Marc Somssich will be taking home the jar and the chocolate goodies after guessing the closest to the total amount of easter eggs! There were 184 and Marc guessed 186.

UH Staff Sustainability Team Update
University House staff have established a new Sustainability Team! Current projects already implemented include:
  • 100% recycled paper in the office.
  • Recycled takeaway cups in the coffee bar.
  • UTZ certified coffee.  
  • Commencement of the herb garden revamp.
  • Composting of kitchen food scraps.
The UH Green Team are always chasing new ideas and welcome any suggestions.

Grace Winery Order Form
Winemaker Ayana Misawa presented a range of Grace Winery wines made in the Yamanashi prefecture, Japan from the signature Koshu variety to 50 members. The Grace Winery order form can be found here.
Sparkling Wine Masterclass presented by Prof. Geoff Scollary

Come along and enjoy a Sparkling Wine Masterclass at University House with Prof. Geoff Scollary. Geoff will be covering methods of fermenting Australian sparkling wines through tank, transfer and traditional methods. The wines will be tasted throughout the Masterclass!

Presented by Dr Geoff Scollary, retired Foundation Professor Of Oenology at Charles Sturt University, Foundation Director of the National Wine and Grape Industry Centre. He is a former convener of the University House Tasting Panel.

Club By-Law

We would like to remind members that visitors eligible for University House membership can be signed in to the Club as a guest a maximum of four times per annum.

Membership Subscriptions Due

Members are reminded that the 2017 subscriptions were due on March 1. If you have not yet paid for your membership, please do so at Professors' Walk reception as soon as possible.
