Celebrate 60 Years
Give another generation the gift of a Catholic education at Saint Camillus!
Today is DO MORE 24, a special day for members of the United Way of National Capital Area to highlight all of the good that we do and ask our local community to join in our work through financial support.
This August we will enter the 60th year of Catholic education at Saint Camillus Church. Building on the legacy of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, the many priests and friars that have led Saint Camillus and the sacrifices of thousands of parents and supporters we are proud to continue this tradition of excellence through the ministry of Saint Francis International School.
Throughout the last 60 years every generation of students have used the Camillia Room as a cafeteria, an auditorium, a multiple purpose room, and until 1970 as a church! The stage in that room that has served so many is in desperate need of an upgrade. The stage curtains and lighting are 44 years old and the sound system is unreliable.
Today for DO MORE 24, we are kicking off our celebration of sixty years of Catholic education at Saint Camillus by raising funds to upgrade the Camillia Room stage. We want to get off to a really strong start, so share this campaign with your friends by forwarding this message, by sharing our Facebook posts, and by talking to your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors about the good work we do at SFIS and asking them to support us for the next generation!
