Fish for FREE Day!

Monday, July 4 at 9:00am to 11:00am

Exact Location: Kid's Fishing Pond

July 4th is a state-wide “Fish For Free Day” through the PA Fish & Boat Commission! Through this program, families will get a short lesson on the basics of fishing, followed by free time to practice their fishing skills at our Kid’s Pond. But it doesn’t stop there! Following the program, for THIS DAY ONLY you will be allowed to fish around the park without a fishing license! Rods, tackle and bait will be on loan at the marina office from 11am – 4pm, following the program.

Please bring your own fishing rods, bait and other equipment if possible. Some equipment is available for loan. Please contact the Education Specialist at (215)529-7307 or via email at to reserve any equipment for this event ONLY. Equipment will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

Pre-registration is required for this activity. Please meet at the Kid's Fishing Pond promptly at 9:00 AM to participate in the program.

This program may be cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Presbyterian Church of Deep Run is combining its efforts with St. Matthews Lutheran Church for Vacation Bible School this year. VBS will be called JaM (Jesus and Me) Camp and will be held at St. Matthew’s (Keller’s Church) on Ridge Road in Perkasie from Monday July 25th through Friday, July 29th ( 9:00 am to 12:00 PM ). Children from 4 years old to 6th grade are encouraged to attend. Older students are welcome to come and help as shepherds to escort each group to their next activity and help as needed. Adult volunteers are also needed to partner with the volunteers from St. Matthews for each of the activities. For more information, visit Presbyterian Church of Deep Run.

Want to get CPR certified?

Ottsville VFC is hosting a American Heart Association certified class at our main station, 249 Durham Rd on Wednesday July 20th. The class will be $50 per person and starts at 7:00 PM. Certified instructors from the American Heart Association will be present and teaching the class.

It will be a good opportunity to prepare yourself to save a life! When someone's down, seconds count!

On Saturday July 30th, JAYS STEAKS and HOAGIE JOINT of Penndel fame will be at Wehrungs Home Center, 7711 Easton Rd, Ottsville on a stop of their county wide Jays Joint Champions Fund. They are donating 10% of their sales to the fire company to show appreciation for all that our volunteers do for the community.
