Paint the Fermentation Bus!
Unleash your hard-working hands along with your creativity and go home with delicious fermented gifts.
With the support of our new friends Cooperative Fermentation, Resilience Hub, and Bettie the Bus Initiative, we will be painting the Fermentation on Wheels bus in Portland, ME at Urban Farm Fermentory (200 Anderson Street) on August 9th and Resilience Hub (224 Anderson Street) on August 10th.
Saturday, August 9th from 10AM to 6PM
Day one of our bus painting party will involve lots of prep work (sanding, pressure washing, taping) and getting a clean coat of natural preventative-rusting primer on the bus. This will be an intense work day, but oh-so-necessary for the future health of the bus and its paint job.
Sunday, August 10th from 10AM to 6PM
The second work day will involve color & creativity. Do you have a knack for detail? Let's paint a bus together. In addition to painting our signage on the side of the bus, we'll include outreach on the back, so people can see the bus on the road and learn how to ferment the revolution straight from their car seats.
Lunch and snacks will be provided by Cooperative Fermentation!
What am I gonna get for all of this hard work?
We will show our appreciation with...
8 HOURS (one day)
One bottle of wine and a jar of sauerkraut, plus lots of love from us and good feelings in your gut that the fermentation bus will keep up the fervor: motivating hundreds of people each month to consume food more thoughtfully, so we can improve our environment, economy, health, and minds.
16 HOURS (both days)
All of above and then some: take home a Fermentation on Wheels t-shirt along with one of our 'Grow a Pear" t-shirts. You will look so cool!
You may RSVP through Facebook or Eventbrite. This will help us get an idea of how many folk we need to feed and make gifts for.
We'll send out another reminder as the time draws nearer. Thanks for all your love and support.
