Anthony U.K. works with Morningstar to manage clients' assets

While organising our clients’ investments should they be ISA, Offshores Bonds or Pensions, we follow a very strict Investment process.
It includes our client’s the Risk Profile Questionnaire which is followed by a discussion, a proposed asset allocation and the choice of funds. A review of the investment is undertaken regularly.
As we always aim at improving our work and process we have recently chosen to work with Morningstar an investment research firm that compiles and analyses fund, stock and general market data.
Morningstar is a respected and reliable source of independent investment analysis, as an independent firm ourselves we are happy to offer a reliable and unbiased service to our clients all along our investment process.

Recent changes in pension legislation

On March 27th, the Government has announced several changes in the pension area. In brief here are the main 3 points

  • If your overall pension savings are less than £ 30K and you are over 60 you can take it as a lump sum. This is Called triviality; this amount was £ 18K before the changes.
  • A Capped Drawdown pension allows you to take income from your pension, but there is a maximum amount you can take each year, it was 120% of an equivalent annuity, it is now 150%.
  • With a flexible drawdown there’s no limit on the amount you can draw from your pot each year, but you must have a guaranteed income from a pension either private or state. This guaranteed income was £20K it is now down to £12K.

Overall these will bring more flexibility to pension savers . It is further more important to manage access to these retirement funds wisely to ensure their primary objectives of income in the old age.

For French residents, an Assurance-vie contract is an unseizable assets

As an assurance product the Assurance-vie contract is regulated by the « Code des assurances » which organises the Assurance contracts.
Due to its structure, during the life of the contract assets held within the contract are not accessible by creditors.
The December 6th 2013 law related to tax evasion has now modified this situation and allows Publics Authorities i. e. all tax authorities, and only them to access these contracts.
Other creditors still do not have any access to these contracts.
