Vote for Us and Help Us Win as Local Charity Partner of the Year 2015 for Sainsbury's Heyford Hill
We are delighted to have been chosen by Sainsbury's Oxford's Heyford Hill store as one of their 3 shortlisted local charity groups for the 2015-2016 scheme.

Each year every Sainsbury's store across the country chose a worthy deserving group to be chosen as their
'Local Charity of the Year'.
This year we are one of 3 to have made the shortlist by the Heyford Hill store.

If chosen, we receive a years' worth of fundraising and awareness throughout the store. This year instead of each store's 'GPTW' committee selecting one charity, it is down to a public vote. Each store asks their customers to choose one out of each 3 as their favourite. The charity/group with the most votes will be selected and the partnership for the coming year will begin.

This year public voting takes place between June 15th-28th.

For Heyford Hill we are up against the Footsteps Foundation based in Dorchester-on-Thames, and the Silver Star Society based at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Public voting is now open, and it is very easy to cast your vote - hopefully for Play2Give!  To vote, simply pop into the store (OX4 ) and write the corresponding number matching Play2Give onto the voting slip and pop into the box, or you can
go online and submit your vote, by typing in your postcode, selecting your nearest store (re Heyford Hill) and choosing Play2Give.

In July, 2014, we were lucky enough to be chosen as the Didcot's store partner of the year, and throughout the last year they  have raised over an amazing £4,100 - which is a record amount that they have ever raised in history at the Didcot store for their selected local charity of the year.    We are hugely grateful and incredibly proud of our friends at the Didcot store for their amazing and wonderful support the past year!
About Play2Give

Play2Give (P2G for short) was set up by Didcot's Andrew Baker in 2007 who teamed up with a small select team of friends to bring a football tournament for charity to life.
Since its inception, and now as a voluntary-run fundraising organisation, P2G has proved to be hugely successful and, in particular, over the last 6 years especially, in continually growing and raising more money than ever. Many thousands are raised each year for local selected charities, primarily the
Oxford Children's Hospital.

The football tournaments have been hailed by past teams as being the 'best tournament for charity in Oxfordshire', which is a real testament to the hard work and effort that all the team put in each year organising these annual events.
Since 2007 over £38,400 has been raised and donated to these causes to date, with over £29k of this to the
Children's Hospital

As of late 2014, we are thrilled to be given the opportunity to name a room within the teenage ward at the hospital.  At a target of £40,000 to achieve this ambitious target, we are only around £10,000 off the goal.  A plaque will then be included on the door in Play2Give's honour.  Please help us achieve this goal, as we continue to raise funds for the very latest medical equipment and facilities for the tens of thousands of children the hospital treat.

P2G also supports
Headway Oxfordshire and the Oxford Paediatric Eye Fund. Over the years we have also supported Bone Cancer Research (in memory of Alex Lewis from Wallingford), Footsteps, SpecialEffect and Heads Up amongst others.
