Little Saigon Community Research Report

Conducted by our Research & Advocacy Intern, Tiffany Truong, the purpose of this research report is to conduct market research on ethnic small business industries, housing and other community needs in the Little Sàigòn community. The goal is to document the community's needs, changes, and growth in order to support future advocacy and programs.

Vietnamese Language Class

Since our pilot, we’ve made some changes to accommodate for future classes:
  • A short entrance assessment to make sure everyone in the cohort has the same skill level and can follow along with the speed of the course.
  • A fee for participation of $100 for the course. This will support the teachers, exploration activities, and supplies.
Registration for our 2020 class is not yet open. For updates on when it will open, follow us on social media (Facebook, Instagram)

Call for Art - Owning It

One of the most exciting things about our upcoming creative community space is that we will be launching an art exhibit right inside! The theme of the exhibit is Owning it. The goal of this theme is to understand what Owning It means, what it means to own your space, your identity, your culture, and your power.

We're in search of emerging and professional artists who identify as a Vietnamese American to share the diverse perspectives and experiences of the theme Owning it, how different individuals define ownership of their culture, identity, space, and power. This exhibit will be displayed for 6 months at Little Saigon Creative space.
