This exhibition celebrates the work of students completing the Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) degree at the University of Newcastle in 2016. Graduating students have worked with a range of different media and processes to create pieces that reflect their achievements in becoming independent and professional artists.
The University Gallery and Watt Space will host concurrent exhibitions, with a third project at The Lock-Up. The University Gallery will feature works by six BFA (Honours) students presenting their final works for examination, including Rebecca Delaney, Maddyson Hatton, Vicki Pearce, Andrew Styan, Sandra Walker and Alexandra Williams. Watt Space will exhibit the final works of Honours students Ryan Fitzgerald, Amy Hamilton, Jess Jones, James McFarland and Jessica McLeod-Yu (30 November – 18 December 2016). A curated project by Andrew Styan, Every Breath We Take, will also be held at The Lock-Up (10 December 2016 – 29 January 2017).
