John D’Aquino is a popular actor (NCIS, The Mentalist, Dexter, Shake It Up, Seinfeld, CSI, Cory in the House, Hannah Montana, JAG, 3RD Rock from the Sun) who has also consulted for Disney Channel. John is also an acting coach and runs John D’Aquino’s Young Actors Workshops in Los Angeles. He is known for helping prepare talented actors for careers in both television and film.

Youth Class

John applies his essential comedy class (How to Make Funny) to the audition process. This course teaches young actors how to ignite their comedic auditions by heightening the physical and emotional stakes within their scene. This course also teaches actors a greater appreciation of the “fourth wall” and how it can help “sell” a character’s hysterical circumstances while enhancing the performance for the camera (the audience). Many primetime actors have credited John’s comedy courses with helping them start their careers. Learn how to deliver the “funny” for camera!
Teens and Adults

John teaches his secret weapon course that guarantees to make you a better actor in just a few hours! The best thing about it is that it’s tangible and anyone can do it! As a matter of fact, you already are, just not in your scripted work. If you apply Active Interrogation to your work, it will bring a tangible and constructive way to bring life to the “white of the page”. Learn to soar, where other actors fail... in between the lines! This simple technique forces you to be more effective and specific than ever before. Captivate your audience by identifying discoveries while maximizing their value within a scene!

Writers struggle to make every character different so that they can get the most out of every scene. Throw those characters into a level 10 stress situation and let the fireworks begin! We’re going to throw you into some wildly fun situations, while you learn character archetypes and how they serve the script. We’ll dive into ensemble play in both crazy comedies and dangerous dramas. We’ll be switching characters and archetypes in this fast-paced class built to teach you the personality traits of all characters and what you, the actor, are expected to deliver! Scripts will be sent out in advance of class. Come ready to risk, play and learn!

Recently, John’s former students have been cast as the leads in the new CHARLIE’S ANGELS (Noah Centineo) and GOOSEBUMPS (Madison Iseman) movies. And, Nick Robinson played SIMON in SIMON.
