The Key to a Treasure
God will be a sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation, and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure. - Isaiah 33:6

Hello Church Family,

When Isaiah wrote these words, the people of God were in dire straits. The enemy was literally at the gates. There was a superpower trying to take over their country, and they were acting like they didn’t belong to the ultimate Superpower.

We too need a sure foundation for our times, now more than ever.  In our world, in our nation, in our church, and in our personal lives we need something steady, strong, and unshakable. God promises to be that for us.

God himself is a sure foundation of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. And he doesn’t just give us enough to muddle through with, but he offers a rich store—an abundant supply! Thankfully, he gives us the key to this storehouse of treasure: it is the fear of the LORD.

What is it to fear the LORD?

Join us NEXT Sunday, September 30, at 5:00 p.m., for a Special Congregational Meeting, where we'll get an update on the Northpoint finances, and the opportunity to vote for Taylor Mendoza as Pastor of Student Ministries.
We are going to be holding a Hymn Sing NEXT Sunday, September 30, in Heritage Hall at 6:00 p.m. The hope of this evening is to join our voices together singing hymns of the faith and enjoying this rich heritage of corporate songs. Hope to see you there!
Sign up to be a Christmas Tea Table Hostess in the Foyer beginning NEXT Sunday, September 30! Hostesses get free admission and may purchase up to 7 tickets. Also, Gentlemen Servers are needed; contact Kristi Simmons at 951.780.4371.
The NP K!DS’ Choir (grades 1-6) is back! We begin rehearsals TONIGHTSeptember 20, from 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in Room 105. Then, we’ll meet on Thursdays after that until November 15 in preparation for performing during one Sunday service in December (likely December 2), and then for Christmas in Corona happening December 4 (call time likely 4 p.m.).

The cost is $20.00 per child and $5.00 for each additional child in the same family. Sign up at rehearsals.

Parents, if you love music, and love discipling (and sometimes corralling) kids, or if you can provide piano accompaniment, we need your help!

For more information, please be sure to contact Michele Balga at 951.734.1335 or mbalga@northpointcorona.org.
Gentlemen, be our guest to enjoy a date night with that special young lady in your life. The Northpoint Men's Ministry is sponsoring a Father-Daughter* Movie Night. We'll be showing Disney's animated classic, Beauty and the Beast, THIS Saturday, September 22, in Heritage Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 7:00 p.m. We'll provide the popcorn, candy, sodas, and games.

*We want to welcome all young ladies, not just those with fathers. So men, if you are the grandfather, uncle, etc., in a girl's life, please, by all means, invite her!
Starting NEXT Thursday, September 27, we begin a seven-part series, Iron Sharpens Iron, aimed at improving men's Bible study skills. Whether a novice or a seasoned veteran in the study of the Bible, you’ll acquire new skills and sharpen old ones as we learn together working through the book of Ephesians. We’ll meet every other Thursday, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the Commons, with a time of fellowship, worship, exposition, and small group discussion. See you there!

Contact Michele Balga at 951.734.1335 for more information.
