A powerful coalition of consumer organizations and midwives has launched a CPM licensing bill that has a real shot this session, despite strong opposition from medical organizations. US MERA update

The Midwives Alliance is preparing our five delegates to attend the 2015 annual meeting of the US MERA Workgroup in April. We will be joining the six other member organizations, which include ACME (Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education), ACNM (American College of Nurse-Midwives), AMCB (American Midwifery Certification Board), MEAC (Midwifery Education Accreditation Council), NACPM (National Association Of Certified Professional Midwives), and NARM (North American Registry of Midwives) in Potomac, Maryland. The meeting will be facilitated by Managance Consulting & Coaching, and will include strategic planning for the upcoming year.

MANA Stats Annual Reporting Deadline Approaching
 

The MANA Stats support team wants to remind you that the May 5th Annual Reporting deadline is coming up soon. As you finish your postpartum care for those last 2014 clients, please be sure to complete their MANA Stats forms. Remember that by May 5th 2015, all of your 2014 data forms need to be submitted. This means any client who gave birth, miscarried or left care in 2014. Take a look at your account today and if you have any of these clients still in your log, please finish them up!
