After embarkation in Tilbury, enjoy a welcome cocktail followed by a delicious five-course dinner with half a bottle of wine per person. This will be followed by fabulous entertainment and an overnight stay on board this beautiful ship - including breakfast the following morning.
Please note that wheelchairs are not suitable for use on board and regrettably wheelchair assistance will not be available at the port.
Mid afternoon departure from the Essex area to join the cruise ship at Tilbury. Embarkation begins late afternoon. You can then settle into your cabin and familiarise yourself with the ship. On board, you'll have time to meet fellow passengers, enjoy the ship's great facilities & entertainment programme and enjoy an excellent five-course evening meal. Overnight accommodation is in a twin bedded cabin. * please note that the cruise ship remains stationary overnight
After a restful night’s sleep, you'll enjoy breakfast on board before you disembark at 9 am. Our coach will be waiting to pick us up and will transfer us to the Medway town of Rochester in Kent. Set in the historic and picturesque Rochester Castle gardens, overlooked by Rochester's 12th Century Norman Keep, market visitors can enjoy a selection of festive food and drink including mulled wine, hot chocolate with Baileys and roasted chestnuts as they browse stalls for unique gift ideas and unusual stocking fillers. We shall visit Rochester when they celebrate their Dickensian Christmas Festival. Rochester becomes a feast of Victorian delights. There will be lamp-lit parades, carols to be sung, Father Christmas to be met and even a guaranteed snowfall, framed by Rochester’s fairytale cathedral and castle. You’ll also get to see some familiar, fabled characters from Dickens’ much-loved stories.
