Morning departure from the Essex area as we head towards North Wales. A stop will be made en route at the ancient city of Chester.
Chester has the most complete city walls, the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, plus a 1000 year old Cathedral with Europe's finest example of medieval carvings - We shall then make our way to our 4* Hotel in Llandudno, our base for the next four nights. After settling in, meet your fellow travellers and enjoy a four course themed dinner and cabaret entertainment. Enroute to our hotel we shall take a scenic drive through Llangollen, and along the Horseshoe Pass, offering spectacular views.
HONG KONG – ASIA - DAY 1
Hong Kong is known for its fascinating harmony between old and new, East and West. With 5,000 years of Chinese traditions, 150 years of British colonial influence and boundless energy for the future, this is a truly unique city that's constantly changing.
Welcome aboard - Arrive to the portside to a traditional welcome. You will receive your passports from our purser and can make your way through immigration. Afternoon tea will be served whilst the porters take care of your luggage. Why not have a wander around the Hong Kong market stall and take home a souvenir from the east ?
17.45hrs: Time to meet your fellow passengers and crew, as complimentary pre dinner aperitifs are served, followed by a brief introduction to the cruise by the Cruise Director. 18.15hrs: Preparations begin to set sail, as the locals provide us with a wonderful Hong Kong send off. Have your cameras at the ready to photograph the dancing lions and dragons as we set sail into the sunset. 18.30hrs: M.V. Tynedale eating experience - a delicious themed dinner from the top notch chefs in the Trans Atlantic restaurant. 20.15hrs: Your on board entertainment commences. 23.00hrs: Complimentary finger buffet.
ROME - ITALY DAY 2
Regarded as one of the World’s most fascinating, important and beautiful ancient cities, Rome is Italy’s capital and largest city. Housing some of the World’s most famous historical sites and revered works of art, it’s ideal for anyone interested in culture.
08.00–10.00hrs: Breakfast is served as we drop anchor in Civitavecchia. Passports please–Don’t forget to have your passports stamped at the pursers office before you disembark for the day.
After breakfast, the day is yours at leisure to explore the seaside town of Llandudno. Llandudno is the largest seaside resort in Wales, on the shores of the Irish Sea. Characterised by a long promenade overlooked by rows of Vicorian buildings which make up the South Parade, the architecture certainly lives up to its title.
The beach stretches for 2 miles in length with plenty of sand to build a castle or two !
15.30hrs : Back on board for fresh ground coffee and italian Classic Tiramisu whilst watching the highlights of Rome on the big screen. 17.45-18.15hrs : Will lady luck be with you? Have a go on the Casino - it’s just for fun and chips are free. Roulette and Black Jack are in the cafe bar. 18.30hrs : The restaurant opens for a fabulous Italian themed dinner. 20.15hrs : Your on board entertainment commences. 23.00hrs : Complimentary finger buffet.
CAIRO - EGYPT - DAY 3
Vibrant and bursting with colour, Cairo embraces Egypt’s fascinating cultures, showing great pride in its enchanting history.
08.00–10.00hrs: Breakfast is served as we drop anchor in Port Said, Egypt. Passports please–Don’t forget to have your passports stamped at the pursers office before you disembark for your day trip.
After breakfast, we shall depart the hotel and travel by coach over the Menai Strait to the Isle of Anglesey, with a visit to Beamaris, with its handsome Georgian and Victorian architecture. We shall then head to the little village with the longest name in Britain – Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch !
15.30 hrs : Egyptian dance class followed by afternoon tea and traditional basbousacake. 17.30 hrs : Duty Free Bar – all drinks at tax free prices. Take a wonder around the Cairo Souk stall before dinner and have a photo with the famous camel ! 18.30 hrs : MV Tyndale sets sail for New York 20.15 hrs : Your onboard entertainment commences 23.00 hrs : Compimentary finger buffet
NEW YORK - USA - DAY 4
A bold and truly unforgettable City with world famous attractions, shopping, food and entertainment. Take a trip to New York and you will see why it is nicknamed “The City that never sleeps”. 08.00–10.00hrs: Breakfast is served as we drop anchor in Manhattan. Passports please–Don’t forget to have your passports stamped at the pursers office before you disembark for your day trip.
After breakfast join us on our excursion to the wonderful Welsh village of Portmeirion (entrance fees included). Situated on a private peninsula overlooking stunning coastal scenery, the Italian Riviera meets rural Wales with a riot of colour and architectural styles at Portmeirion Village. Built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion is now one of Wales’ most popular tourist destinations. Portmeirion Village is well known as the location for the 1960s cult TV series The Prisoner. It comprises a cluster of colour-washed buildings around a central piazza, scenic surroundings and extensive woodlands, two hotels, historic cottages, gift shops, spa & award winning restaurants. 15.00 hrs : Afternoon Tea – serving New York’s famous Apple Pie and fresh coffee, followed by deck games . Captain’s Night – Tonight we will be taking you back to cruise days of yesteryear with a 1920’s Gatsby Style Captain’s Night. 17.45 hrs : Guests are encouraged to dress in 1920’s style for the occasion. Join the Captain for a glass of Gatsby’s bootleg punch and enjoy music from the roaring 20’s. 18.30 hrs : Captain’s dinner – a delicious 5 course dinner with a touch of theatre – fit for the era. 20.30 hrs : Your onboard entertainment commences. 23.00 hrs : Your final evening draws to a close with the final late night buffet of your cruise.
After a leisurely breakfast, we shall start our journey home, stopping in the delightful Derbyshire town of Bakewell. Famous for its unique and delicious Pudding, Bakewell has many more tempting treats to offer - ranging from shopping and specialist markets to buzzing restaurants and cafes. There will be free time in Bakewell for shopping and lunch before we head Southwards towards the Essex area.
