Changes to .qa domain management

Due to a last-minute change at the registry level, we will be making changes to our integration for .qa domains. Currently, .qa domain management is synchronous, meaning that when you send a registration, renewal, transfer, update, or other request for a .qa domain, you receive an immediate response that indicates the success, failure, or other result of the request. 

On Dec. 9, at 8 a.m EST, we will begin processing .qa domain requests asynchronously. This means that for all requests, you will receive a 250 response code: “action submitted successfully for processing to asynchronous registry.” 

What do you need to do?

If you use our API, you will need to update your code to accommodate this change. Specifically, once you receive the 250 response code, you must use our polling system to query the message and log the order as complete on your end. Until you have updated your code, any requests will have to be processed manually through the RCP.
