General Assembly: La Rochelle, March 2nd 2016

The event will launch the strategy of the Atlantic cities 2016-2019 and will position our cities on the after 2020. Thus, among the speakers, there will be representatives of the European Commission; key actors in the Atlantic Arc such as RIET network, or other partner networks, like the Baltic cities.

Atlantic Maritime Strategy: Nautism as facilitator
Our president highlighted education and awareness of coastal culture and the promotion of water sports and its internationalization
Atlantic cities demand more prominence in the Maritime Strategy
We underlined that the Atlantic Urban Forum explored several pathways to improve implementation and awareness . 
Sea Week in Viana do Castelo
In Viana do Castelo, president city of CAAC and from 16 to November 22 , the “Sea Week ” took place on board the ship Gil Eannes , with the completion of several initiatives. 
Music cities: looking for speakers
The third instalment of Music Cities Convention will take place on May 18 2016 in Brighton, UK.  The organisers are looking for presentation ideas, potential panelists, partners and other ideas.

COP21: Fisheries as an essential key anticipating climate change
We spoke at the conference organised about climate change and maritime territories earmarked in the “Ocean for Climate Days” of  COP21
Atlantic cities define the maritime strategy with stakeholders
We coached a workshop about diversification of port activities : offshore renewable energy, boating , cruises , tourism and port-city relations.
Structural Funds: the Atlantic dimension
We exchanged with services of the European Commission on the future of urban funds, especially innovative urban actions . 
Atlantic links: Culture
Priority Axis 4 of the new Interreg VB Atlantic Area programme refers to “cultural assets and heritage” and will be inviting project proposals from partnerships across the Atlantic Area.  Euclid (UK) is organising a conference on 10 March 2016 at Tate Liverpool to inform people of this opportunity and to provide a platform for organisations to present themselves and discuss possible partnerships.  Full information is available at
