Conservative Organization Begins Voter Outreach

Iowa Values Announces Digital Advertising Blitz and Door to Door Voter Canvassing

DES MOINES – Iowa Values launched a six-month voter education and data collection blitz across Iowa last week. In addition, the organization invested six-figures in a digital advertising campaign that will touch swing voters in all 99 counties.
This large-scale effort is just the beginning of an election-long effort by Iowa Values to highlight the work of Sen. Joni Ernst, who has been a strong advocate for Iowa farmers, veterans, and working Iowa families since her election in 2014.
“We plan to knock on 150,000 doors over the next six months, an immense mobilization effort that will showcase this organization’s commitment and resources,” said Derek Flowers, Executive Director of Iowa Values. “Through our voter education efforts, we’re going to highlight the work Sen. Ernst has done to fight for Iowans and to combat wasteful government spending.”
The organization unveiled its first ad of the year, titled “We Are Iowans”, which highlights values Iowans deserve in a leader – values like “caring for our neighbors, putting service over self, and doing the right thing…even when it’s hard.”
The ad goes on to say, “We deserve leaders who have walked in our shoes and share these beliefs, like Joni Ernst.  Standing up for Iowans all across our state and fighting for what we believe in. We are Iowans. These are our Iowa values.”

The video will run on YouTube and Facebook, and be accompanied by display ads across the web.
Last week, Iowa Values began canvassing neighborhoods in the Des Moines area, talking with voters about the issues that matter to them and the ways that Senator Ernst is fighting for our Iowa values.  In 2019, Iowa Values canvassers will visit 150,000 doorsteps this summer and fall in areas across the state achieving high-quality, in-person, face-to-face contacts with important segments of the electorate.

2020 Election Planning
Iowa Values plans to be a consistent and strong advocate for the conservative and free market principles it was founded to promote during the 2020 election.
“No other organization will match the work that Iowa Values is doing in 2019,” said Tom Tauke, Iowa Values board member and former Iowa Congressman. “With a sophisticated mix of digital advertising and personal contact, Iowa Values will help create a friendly environment for conservative ideas in 2020.”
Iowa Values in particular will highlight the work of Sen. Joni Ernst, who has rocketed to nationwide prominence as one of the most effective advocates for conservative values.
“Like so many Iowans, Joni Ernst has selflessly served her community, state, and nation, and made a lifetime of tough choices.  Now, Iowa Values is going to make sure everyone knows how she’s fighting for all Iowans in Washington,” said Paula Dierenfeld, Iowa Values board member.
About Iowa Values
Iowa Values was formed in 2018 to promote conservative, free market policies for Iowa and the nation.
Headed by board members Paula Dierenfeld, mayor of Johnston, former Congressman Thomas Tauke, and leading political strategist and entrepreneur Sara Fagen, the organization supports polices and encourages discussion on issues that encourage economic growth through free markets and robust international trade, limit the size and scope of government, and exercise fiscal restraint and emphasize personal responsibility.
Anchored by traditional conservative principles, Iowa Values seeks to address these pressing issues and others by bringing a clear, consistent and conservative voice to state policy discussions. Focusing on policy issues that matter most to Iowans, we will support voices that reflect our values as we seek to improve our way of life.
